Dr. Pamela J.Newman

Non Executive Chairperson

Pamela J. Newman is the Founder, President & CEO of PJN Strategies LLC, a boutique strategic consulting firm.


Dr. Newman is a Board Member of The Council of Foreign Relations and a board member of College of Mount Saint Vincent; Advisory Board member of Brock Capital LLC; Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Mereo Advisors; and member of the Board of Governors for New York Risk Exchange ("NYREX"). She also serves on the Board of Directors for The Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths ("RID") and is a Past President of the Financial Women's Association.


In October 2017, Dr. Newman was appointed as a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA) for New York (South) by the Acting Secretaryof the Army.


Pamela has authored Organizational Communication (McGraw Hill) and Behind Closed Doors: A Guide to Effective Meetings (Prentice Hall). AIso, in 2021, she authored Leadership is Doing (Outskirts Press).


Dr. Newman has received many awards, including the Charles Evans Award (2019) from the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation and was the First Recipient of the Business Insurance  omen to Watch Inspiration Award (2018). 


John Cabot University (Rome) awarded Pamela the John Cabot University Presidential Medal for Leadership in Business in 2017, and in 2016, she was honored by The College of Mount Saint Vincent.


She was also selected as the Insurance Advocate's Insurance Professional of the Year (2015) and was honored by the UJA-Federation and the Arthritis Foundation. 


In 2012, she received The Humanitarian Award from the New York Center for Living, and the Greater New York Council of the Boy Scouts of America named her "Distinguished Woman of the Year" in 2009 Pamela J. Newman earned her B.A., M.A. and Ph.D.degrees from The University of Michigan. During her years in academia, she received a three- year teaching fellowship and was awarded the Horace A. Rackham Doctoral Research Grant.
